The Motor (Micrometer) Driven Slit Assembly has continuously adjustable slits from 0 to 2 mm in width.
The slit height is 20 mm.
The motor drive uses a micro stepping motor with each step corresponding to a 0,5 µm change in slit width.
The slits are controlled directly by SOLAR TII's spectral instruments.
